So they have come up with the 22-metre smart crossing surface road which is responsive. By using a computer and the cameras, it displays a zebra crossing. The computer and the cameras adapt the markings on the basis of what activity is occurring on the pavement and the road.

What if there are a lot of pedestrians? Don’t worry, Umbrellium and Direct Line have a solution for this situation. The zebra crossing will stretch its size in width by using the LED lights below the road to get accustomed to its display.
Suppose a ball comes on the road somehow and a boy comes on the way as well. He crosses the road without looking on its left-hand and right-hand side of the road. Now, within no time, the road will react, highlight the situation to a surrounding and car drivers, and guide the kid towards the footpath.
The street would even have the function of changing the stop distance nearby crossings and can even change the crossing layout as the road safety findings emerge.
Umbrellium founder partner, Usman Haque says that the whole effort is to match the speed of road crossings technology with the modern city technology.
Haque furthers says that pedestrian crossings were built for a dissimilar time of life and age of development. At that time, the human connection was entirely different from the city.

The road crossing of the future is totally a concept right now. However, we are witnessing some smart crossings in different cities of various countries to take care of new generations. Netherland’s Bodegraven city has been assessing “Plus Lightlines”. It is basically a LED strip installed on the footpath for general people staring and using their cell phones. It will be the indication for the people to cross the road safely.

The concept by Umbrellium is designed by keeping the smombies also in mind. So, the idea will even have a feature of crossing signals and countdown on the pavement for the people staring down.

The goal of the water harvester was to extract water from the humidity present in the air. Thus it eliminates the dependency on water reserves for irrigating the gardens.
The Underlying Science Behind The AERO Water Harvester Concept
The design of this unique and innovative set up aims at mining out (or ‘harvesting’) the water content present in the air. The AERO water harvester then exploits the extracted water for supplying it to the gardens and landscapes.
The design of the apparatus comprises of a huge longitudinal cylinder that drives through solar energy. Inside the long barrel lies a polymer coated cotton matrix. This matrix absorbs water from the atmosphere through the polymer coating. The twisted movement of the matrix then harvests the water droplets from the absorbed air. The water collected in this way then gets stored within the apparatus. It is then supplied to the gardens through the magnetically connected watering hose. The harvester further bears smart dosing feeders that automatically provides the exact quantity of water to the plants or the garden. You can also adjust customized watering plans for individual plants. By doing so, you would know the precise amount delivered to the plants.
The AERO water harvester is capable of extracting up to 200L of water in one day. Whereas, the storage capacity of the PNIPAAm cotton is about 350% of its total weight.
